My dad, he's a real renaissance man. He drinks lattes and eats sconces CROISSANTS. He eats his chocolate cake with strawberry jam (made with actual strawberries), not jelly. And every so often you might find him admiring an es-cal-day (you know, the SUV's that Cadillac's made). Im trying to get into the whole planning a wedding spirit, but the place to get excited is not through wedding websites. There are plenty of cool blogs and such, but, the big sites are one big conglomerate of girls caring way too much about how the napkins should be folded and what direction the forks should be pointed. And then there's the girls who get all worked up over the pettiest shit and say "advice needed" and then blather on about how their Maid of Honor isn't spending more than $1000 for them on their shower, and they want to un-maid of honor them and then they "ask for advice" which really means the only answer their looking for everyone to agree with them. My favorite part is when they ask "do you think I'm being a bridezilla' and then the entire group of them says "youre not being a bridezilla, I'd be feeling the same way as you" even though they all clearly think she's crazy.

so the wisdom teeth pulling went incredibly well, and I was on the phone with my mom complaining about how everyone made a big fuss over nothing by 1pm (the teeth pulling happened at 1pm). I managed to learn that strong drugs make me puke...unfortunately I didn't learn that until I was at the bar that night, running out to the parking lot hoping I didn't puke before I made it to some unlucky bush. So yeah, its Sunday and I've read a few books, taken a few advil and am back to eating mostly normal food (I did turn down some boneless buffalo wings the night of, but damn if its not a good excuse to have butterscotch milkshakes).
Speaking of pains, Im officially over wedding planning. Blah. I just wish that there were less choices and Doug were less picky. There will be some venue visiting in Albuquerque next week, but I just want to get to the point where we have a location (a city and state would be fine), and I get to make the fun decisions.
